Sell on HoloTap

Sell your cards on HoloTap.

List a card from your collection, let collectors buy it or make an offer, and get paid after it’s delivered. Selling is free to start: one seller fee per card sold, and less with a membership.

How selling works

From your collection to a paid order.

  1. Photograph the card

Add it with a front photo, a back photo and one close-up that shows its condition: a corner, an edge or the surface. Each photo gets a quick clarity check before the card can be listed (you’re asked to allow the photo check first). You can add up to eight condition photos.

  2. Set up shipping once

Save your return address and your packed parcel size in Shipping settings before your first listing. You don’t quote postage yourself: the carrier price for the buyer’s address is added to their checkout automatically.

  3. Set your price

List at any price from US$1. Collectors can buy at your price or send an offer, which you can accept, counter or decline. You can also set an optional resale royalty of 0–10% on the card’s next sale.

  4. Ship the paid order

An order is ready to ship once HoloTap confirms the buyer’s payment. Save a photo of the card in its protective packaging to unlock the paid postage label, print it, and take the parcel to the carrier.

  5. Get paid

Your proceeds are the card price minus the HoloTap seller fee and any royalty attached to the card; postage isn’t part of them. They go to your HoloTap sales balance and become available when the buyer confirms the card matches, or 7 days after carrier-confirmed delivery, as long as no order claim, payment dispute or refund review is open. Spend your balance on cards, or withdraw to your bank after completing payout setup with Stripe (on the website: You → Payments & payouts).

NFC tags are optional.

You don’t need a tag to sell, and the seller fee is the same with or without one. If a card has a linked HoloTap tag, the link moves to the buyer’s account when it sells. A tag connects a card to its record; it does not authenticate the card.

Seller fees

One fee per card, on the card’s price.

Without a membership, the HoloTap seller fee is 7% of every card you sell. A membership waives it on cards under your plan’s price limit and lowers it at or above that limit. NFC linking is not required.

Payment processing, shipping, taxes and any disclosed royalties are separate. Seller fee thresholds apply to each card price, not your monthly total. The fee is worked out in US dollars and rounded to the nearest cent once per card order. Memberships renew monthly until canceled; website prices are in US dollars, and Apple shows local pricing for subscriptions bought in the iPhone app. Compare everything a membership includes.

Protections

Rules both sides can see.

Paid before you ship

An order is ready to ship only after HoloTap’s server confirms the payment. Accepting an offer doesn’t transfer a card on its own, and a buyer returning from checkout isn’t treated as proof of payment.

Postage settled at checkout

The buyer pays the carrier price for their address together with the card, and the paid postage label appears in the order for you to print.

A record of what you sent

The photo you save of the card in its protective packaging stays with the order, where the buyer can see it.

Payout timing you can check

Proceeds follow one published rule: buyer confirmation, or 7 days after carrier-confirmed delivery with no open claim, dispute or refund review. Refunds and disputes can hold or remove proceeds.

Report and block

Report a listing, message or collector. Blocking someone hides your listings from each other and prevents new offers and purchases between you.

Identity checks stay with Stripe

Identity documents for payout setup are entered directly into Stripe. HoloTap keeps payment references and status, not your full card number.

HoloTap provides the listing, offer, payment and messaging tools; the sale itself is between the buyer and the seller. HoloTap doesn’t inspect, authenticate or grade cards. Read the Terms for the full rules.

Questions

Before you list.

Do I need a membership to sell?

No. A free account can sell with the standard 7% seller fee. Free accounts hold up to 50 active card records, including up to 10 NFC-linked cards; memberships hold 2,000.

Do I need an NFC tag?

No. Tags are optional, and the seller fee is the same with or without one.

Who pays for shipping?

The buyer. Postage for their address is added to their checkout automatically, and you print the paid label from the order.

When can I withdraw my money?

Once a sale’s proceeds are available (the buyer confirms the card matches, or 7 days pass after carrier-confirmed delivery with nothing open) and your Stripe payout setup is complete.

What happens if something goes wrong with an order?

Buyer and seller talk first in HoloTap messages. A buyer reports a wrong, damaged or missing card through the order’s support link, and open claims, disputes and refund reviews hold the proceeds until they’re resolved. Contact support if you can’t resolve it.
